• Customize your lock screen: use Windows 8 nifty new feature called ‘picture passwords’, using this you can use any picture stored in your Windows 8 Pictures folder to log into the OS.
Steps:
 Search for “picture password†on the Start screen.
 Click Create a Picture Password, under sign in option.
 Watch the tutorial and select one of your photos.
 Finally, choose and confirm your three gestures and affirmative your selection.
• Install Microsoft security essential software: install the antivirus Microsoft security essential software or windows defender which free utility software provided by windows to keep away the malwares which can affect your computer performance and applications.
• Run windows update: run the windows update to improve the operating system’s security, performance and efficiency.
Steps:
 Open the Charms menu by swiping in from the right side of the screen,
 Click on the settings icon, and then bring up the PC settings menu, by clicking on change PC settings at the bottom.
